Getting Started

How do I install Decision Desk in Slack?

You can install Decision Desk directly through our website. Click Add to Slack and approve the permissions to connect your workspace. Installation takes just seconds.
Once Slack store approval is complete, you will also be able to install it from the Slack App Directory.

How do I assign a decision?

Use the /decision command in Slack to capture what needs to be decided, who is involved, and any context for the team.
Once shared, a decision thread is created in the channel so ownership and updates stay visible.

How do I track decisions?

Open the Decision Desk app inside your Slack workspace. From there you can view all decisions across channels or filter to see:

  • Your decisions

  • Subscribed decisions

What happens when my trial ends?

Your access pauses at the end of the trial if you do not upgrade. Your data stays safe. An admin can upgrade at any time to restore access.

Using Decision Desk

How do I find resolved decisions?

Resolved decisions are pinned in their original Slack channels so everyone can see outcomes without scrolling back. You can also view them in the Decision Desk app inside Slack, where you can filter by channel or decision owner.

How do I update or validate a decision?

Add updates or clarification directly in the decision thread, then click Resolve when it’s ready to mark complete. Once resolved, the decision is pinned in the channel so everyone can see the outcome and context in one place.

Who can assign decisions?

Any member of a channel with Decision Desk installed can assign a decision within that channel. Permissions follow Slack’s channel access, so only those in the channel can create or manage decisions there.

How do notifications work in Slack?

You’ll get a Slack notification when you’re assigned a role or when a decision you’ve subscribed to or been tagged in is updated, resolved, or pinned. Notifications keep everyone aligned without adding extra tools or steps.

Plans & Billing

Do you offer a free plan?

No. Decision Desk offers a 14-day trial so you can test Decision Desk with your team before upgrading to a paid plan.

What happens after the trial?

After 14 days, your access will pause until you upgrade your workspace to a paid plan.

How do I upgrade from the trial to Pro?

Once billing is active, you’ll be able to click Upgrade from your account or the Pricing page. Payments will be handled securely through Stripe.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You’ll be able to cancel your subscription anytime from your billing portal. Access will continue through the current billing period, then end automatically.

Where can I view my invoices?

Invoices and payment history will be available directly through Stripe once billing is live.

Do you offer annual billing?

Annual plans will be available at a discounted rate compared to monthly billing once payment options are enabled.
