How Tiers Work

Your tier is based on Slack workspace members — the people who could use Decision Desk, not the people who do.

The Short Version

Decision Desk looks at your Slack workspace size and puts you in the right tier. If your team grows, your plan moves up at the next billing cycle. If it shrinks, you move down.

You never have to manually upgrade, add seats, or manage licenses.

What Counts

Counts toward your tier:

  • Full members in your Slack workspace

Doesn't count:

  • Slack guests

  • Single-channel guests

  • Deactivated users

  • Archived users

If someone leaves your Slack or gets deactivated, they stop counting immediately.

When Tiers Change

Tier changes happen at your next billing cycle, not mid-month.

Growing: If you're on Starter (30 members) and hire 5 people, you'll move to Growth at your next renewal. You won't get charged mid-cycle.

Shrinking: If you're on Growth and drop to 28 members, you'll move back to Starter at your next renewal. The lower rate kicks in automatically.

No action required either way.

Monthly vs Annual

You choose monthly or annual when you start. Annual saves roughly 20%.

If you're on annual and your tier changes mid-year, we'll prorate the difference — you'll only pay for the time at the higher tier, or get credit for the time at the lower one.

No Seat Management

Most tools make you buy seats, track licenses, and manually upgrade when you run out. We don't.

You have a workspace. The workspace has a size. That determines your price. Everyone in that workspace can use Decision Desk — no seat limits within your tier.
