Privacy Policy

Effective Date: December 2025

In plain language. Decision Desk keeps work simple and secure. We collect only what is necessary to make decisions visible, owned, and actionable inside Slack. We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and you can remove the app at any time.

Nova Path Group LLC (“Nova Path Group,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides the Decision Desk Slack application (“Decision Desk” or the “Service”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Decision Desk is available for installation through our website and may also be listed in the Slack App Directory. This policy applies to all users who access or use Decision Desk through any distribution channel.

Information We Collect

Slack workspace data

When you install Decision Desk, we receive limited information from Slack. This includes workspace identifiers, workspace name, team ID, channel context where the app is used, and basic authorized user identifiers required for the app to function.

Usage and decision data

We collect information related to how Decision Desk is used inside Slack. This includes decisions logged, ownership assignments, due dates, statuses, and related inputs. This data exists so decisions can be displayed, tracked, and managed correctly within your workspace.

Decision Desk does not analyze general Slack message content beyond what users explicitly provide when creating or interacting with decisions.

Subscription and billing data

If you start a paid subscription, we process limited billing and subscription information through our payment processor. We may also process Slack workspace metadata, such as active user counts, solely to calculate subscription fees. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.

Contact information

If you contact us through our website or by email, we may collect your name, email address, and message content to respond to inquiries, provide support, or follow up on feedback.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain Decision Desk
Display decisions, ownership, and status correctly inside Slack
Process subscriptions, billing, renewals, and applicable taxes
Maintain security, reliability, and performance of the Service
Respond to customer support requests and communications
Improve features and functionality over time

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated marketing activities.

For Slack workspace data, Nova Path Group LLC acts as a data processor on behalf of the workspace owner or administrator, who acts as the data controller.

Third-Party Services

Decision Desk relies on trusted third-party providers to operate the Service. These may include:

Slack, for workspace integration
Hosting and infrastructure providers
Payment processors for subscription management
Email or support tools used for customer communication

We may introduce analytics or monitoring tools in the future to better understand usage and improve performance. Any such changes will be reflected in an updated version of this Privacy Policy.

All third-party service providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we authorize.

How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

With Slack, as required to operate the Service within your workspace
With service providers who support hosting, billing, and operations
When required by law, legal process, or governmental request
To protect the rights, property, or safety of Nova Path Group, our users, or others

Data Retention

We retain workspace and usage data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service or meet legal obligations.

If you uninstall Decision Desk, associated workspace data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe unless retention is required by law.

Billing and tax records may be retained as required for financial, accounting, or compliance purposes.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

No system is completely secure. We continuously review and improve our security practices to reduce risk and protect user data.

User Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your information.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws such as GDPR or CCPA.

You can exercise your rights by contacting us directly at the email address below. Many workspace-level permissions and data controls are also managed by Slack administrators.

Children’s Privacy

Decision Desk is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, legal requirements, or business practices.

When we update this policy, we will revise the Effective Date above. Continued use of Decision Desk after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
