How does it work inside Slack?
You capture a decision in the channel where the discussion happened. Decision Desk adds structure: title (“/Decision: …”), one named owner, due/next check-in, context/rationale, and status. It threads updates, pins for visibility, and sends lightweight nudges so the decision doesn’t fade. Daily digests summarize what’s pending, what moved, and what needs attention—no extra tool-switching.
What counts as a “decision”?
Anything that changes direction, scope, or responsibility. Examples: approve/deny, pick A vs B, escalate a blocker, commit to a date, accept a design, choose a vendor, define “good enough,” pause or stop work. If someone would reasonably ask, “Did we decide that?”—it belongs in Decision Desk.
How is this different from tasks, tickets, or meeting notes?
Tasks say what to do. Decisions say what we chose and why. Tickets are work units; decisions are commitments that create or close those units. Meeting notes are passive records; Decision Desk is an active artifact with an owner, due point, and reminder rhythm so the team can find, trust, and act on the call later.
Do we have to change our process or frameworks (RACI, DACI, RAPID, SPADE)?
No. Decision Desk supports the “one final decider” principle and works with any framework. You can tag roles in the record (Driver/Approver/Contributors/Informed; Recommend/Agree/Input/Decide/Perform) and keep the artifact searchable in Slack.

Will this add noise to Slack?
